Atlas Shrugged

The latest book I have been reading is "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. This book was written i believe in 1957 and is considered a "classic". The author was convinced to write about her philosophies and the views of the world and she decided to make a fiction book about them. This is her longest novel with over 1100 pages. So far this book is very interesting. I am really enjoying this book. This book has even made me angry with some of the socialist ideas that the fictional characters have and demonstrate. The government in the book is very socialist also and there viewpoints are strongly resented by rand and she therefore makes them the antagonists. This is a very clever way to write a fiction book, not to make it some lovey dud love story but with substance and decisions and logic. I love to read a wide variety of books and this book is unlike other fiction books that i read and i can't wait to see what will happen. The very first line is "who is john galt?" I have come to find out that this is a repeated question in the book and means don't ask questions that don't have answers. This quote, to me, speaks mountains and i love how it can be used and the confusion it brings to people. It is a senseless quote but i believe it's very powerful. I looke forward to reading the rest of this 1100 page book.
